Captured the day after a storm. The insane part was all the snow capped trees in the morning were all melted once the evening rolled around.

Last weekend I went to Lake Braies, a beautiful mountain lake in Trentino Alto Adige (Italy). The water level was low, because of a long period without rain, so you could walk under the wooden house.

Captured on a unique evening in Yosemite, when the entire valley was socked in by fog. I was able to capture this shot of Half Dome poking through the clouds below.

San Juan, Argentina, nestles in a fertile valley flanked by arid mountains. Croplands and vineyards (green) abut the metropolitan area on the San Juan River. The white "teardrop" (lower left) is an ancient lakebed called Barreal Blanco. It is one of the best places in the world for carrovelismo, or landsailing, thanks to the steady winds that sweep across this flat, unobstructed expanse of hard-packed sediment.

A road trip through northern Arizona and southern Utah gave me some time in Monument Valley in the winter time.

This is one of my favorite pictures I have shot so far. I took it on a hiking trip back in August. Thanks to this little guy for taking in the perfect position. :)

Buddha tree. The trunk of a bodhi tree or peepal tree in Cairns Australia. This is the type of tree under which the Buddha sat (for 49 days!) till he received enlightenment. I am not a Buddhist, but I thought that Buddhists may like a photo of a bodhi tree. The botanical name is appropriate: Ficus religiosa. I met this gentleman, who has been photographing Yosemite for the past 30 years, as I was about to leave the park. I could spend hours talking to him about photography, he explained to me how he uses the large format film camera, told me stories about old times and more. The work that he puts into his photos is amazing.

Climbed about 1000ft to get this shot of a dead tree so that’s where I’m at with my life.

This iconic rock structure is located just north of Sandpoint, ID. It is reached by a rough, dirt road which ends near the base of the rock. This photo was taken from a location on that road.

I relished the opportunity to explore Sedona’s towering cliffs and vistas, being dwarfed by nature’s immense footsteps formed over the course of billions of years. The sense of human significance vanishes while in the presence of the sedentary titans.
